Course description
This course is designed for people who work or want to work in the sphere of business, including marketing, production, finance services and work in the office. The international examination Business English Certificate Higher evaluates your ability to use English in a big number of functions, including negotiating, communication in the office, etc.
Level needed:Advanced level.
Exam structure
Business English Certificate Higher has 4 parts:
Reading: you will have to fulfill several tasks of the following types: multiple choice, matching, word level gap-filling, sentence level gap-filling, multiple choice gap-filling and error identification.
Writing: you will need to produce a short report (based on graphic input, approx. 120-140 words) and write a report, proposal or piece of business correspondence.
Listening: you will have to do some tasks of the following types: gap-filling or note completion, matching and multiple choice.
Speaking: you will have to answer questions, make short presentations (duration: one minute), participate in pair work and discussions.
What you will have at the end of the course:deal with unpredictable question; understand the general meaning of more complex articles; use your English in your everyday business communication with confidence; carry on negotiations; communicate easily in the office.

Course duration
1 academic year (2 semesters) – 200 academic hours of class work and the same number of hours of independent work.

Time-table:twice a week at 19.00. Each lesson lasts 3 academic hours.
